Coming February, my new book – Repped: 30 Days to a Better Online Reputation
I’ve been hinting at a big announcement that would be made exclusively on this blog, and here it is: I have a new book being published in February.
Repped: 30 Days to a Better Online Reputation comes six years after publishing my first book Radically Transparent: Monitoring and Managing Reputations Online. A lot has happened in those six years, so the timing was right to publish a new book.
Repped will be a little different to Radically Transparent. If Radically Transparent is the training manual you hand to someone looking to enter the online reputation management industry, Repped is the quick-start guide that anyone can pick up and read. It’s shorter, more practical, and is aimed at everyone from college graduates to Fortune 500 CEOs. It’s for those looking to manage their personal online reputation as well as for those managing a company brand.
Why the name?
Repped is a slang word used by many forums to indicate that a user has been given points, karma, or kudos for their contribution. If you get “repped” it means that community trusts you. Repped is also a play on the word “ripped.” We’re all drawn to an exercise regimen that promises to improve our fitness in just 30 days, so why not a book that will help you build your reputation over the same period?
Repped will be published early February. As you would expect from me, there will be lots of cool promotions and prizes to coincide with the release, so be sure to subscribe to this blog, follow me on Twitter or Like my Facebook page so you don’t miss out.
Thanks for your continued support!
