The #1 overlooked Google reputation management tactic? Me, You, and Us

The #1 overlooked Google reputation management tactic? Me, You, and Us

Don't use pronouns for Google reputation management!I’m anti pronouns.

Sorry, let me rephrase that: Andy Beal is anti pronouns.

You see, the first sentence above is something many of us are guilty of when writing company or personal bios for our Google reputation management efforts. We take great care and attention to get the URL name optimized, make sure we use our brand in any backlinks, and even ensure that our images have our brand in the alt tags. Then we go and write a bio that looks like this:

We specialize in providing world class social media monitoring solutions. Our goal is to help you monitor everything that is being said about you. Since 2007, we have led the field in online reputation monitoring and our founder and CEO is the leading expert in the field of reputation management.

Blah!

Here’s how you should write any profile or bio that you post to any page that you wish to rank better in the search engines for your reputation:

Trackur specializes in providing world class social media monitoring solutions. Trackur’s goal is to help you monitor everything that is being said about you. Since 2007, Trackur has led the field in online reputation monitoring and Andy Beal, our founder and CEO, is the leading expert in the field of reputation management.

The search engines are stupid. They still allocate far too much ranking to the actual content on the page. So, the next time you draft up that press release, compile that corporate bio, or simple write an About Us page, kick pronouns to the curb!

I do! Andy Beal does! 😉

    1. I think you can combine pronouns and the company name together. It makes for a friendlier read, in my opinion, whilestill meeting the needs of what search engines prefer. A balance can be possible.
